Wind Power for the Home, Farm and Business

2

LEEDSCarlos Fernandex-Bueno, President of Potomac Wind Energy, takes us on a whirl-wind tour of the world of turbines.

Is wind energy right for you?  Carlos demystifies the process by providing clear guidelines for determining if your home or business is ideally located to take advantage of a wind turbine.

Common myths about excessive noise and danger to birds are refuted, different types of turbines are examined and links to additional resources are provided at the end of the presentation.

Really enjoyed listening to and seeing the power point presentation on Wind Power. It helped to answer some basic questions I had about cost, feasibility and whether or not we had enough wind in Frederick to warrant this type of application. Sounds like we do and if I had one now…I’d be making lots of electricity!

Thanks for making this type of info available.

  2. Anyone know what local agency can tell you average wind speeds for your area?

    Good presentation!
